… Work hard to get it right every time. We’re human, but when we make a mistake, own up and retract it, correct it and tell the reader. I think we have to remember the basics because sometimes we go out there and miss the basics, and then we mess up. Just cover the who’s, what’s, when’s, where’s and why’s and build honesty and the truth from there. Not just one source. Sources from all sides. Also, have receipts. Because people believe you when the person is speaking versus “what my sources say.” You have to have people who get receipts. Anonymous sources lead to mistrust of sources. Have other people corroborate or speak on it.
