Young Change Makers: Why & How Climate Activist Sophia Kianni Of Climate Cardinals Is Helping To Change Our World

I think climate Cardinals is an example of the impact that can be achieved through a concentrated effort by governments, scientists, and policymakers. This started as just me and my mom and translating climate information for my relatives in Iran into Parsi. It then grew to me and a handful of my friends. Now it’s exploded into a global movement of 8,000 volunteers in 41 countries. This was all achieved with pretty much no funding budget, no money, and nothing other than organic outreach through TikTok. So I think about that and believe that if you’re a company, corporation, government, or policymaker, or if you have access to funding, or if you have a deep network, this is an example of what you can do if you put in the effort and care about an issue.
