… At the end of the day, you need to have fun doing whatever you do. And, if you’re doing it for the wrong reasons, you have to check in with yourself and ask yourself: Why am I here? Why am I doing this? Because if it’s not for good reasons, then in the long run, you’re not going to last and you’re not going to be happy.
I had the distinct pleasure to talk to Sophie Nélisse. Sophie can most recently be seen starring as one of the leads in the Showtime series YELLOWJACKETS opposite Melanie Lynskey. Sophie played the lead role in IRENA’S VOW, directed by Louise Archambault, and in 47 METERS DOWN: UNCAGED, as well as Brian Percival’s critically-acclaimed feature THE BOOK THIEF for Fox 2000 (opposite Geoffrey Rush & Emily Watson), and also in Philippe Falardeau’s MONSIEUR LAZHAR, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and earned Sophie a Genie Award for her performance in the film.
