To be a good negotiator, you need to understand the other party’s concerns and motivations. There’s a lot of truth to the saying that there are two sides to each story. The same holds true in negotiations. Most conflicts can be resolved once you get to the root of the differences; plus, a successful negotiation can pave the way for future positive conversations.
