Filmmakers Making A Social Impact: Why & How Stacey L. Holman & Shayla Harris Of ‘Making Black America’ Are Helping To Change Our World

… I think education about history is really important. Without really understanding all the stories and understanding all of the context, it’s hard to make decisions about the future if you don’t understand the past. I hope this series fills in some of those gaps and helps people contextualize a lot of the issues that we’re still grappling with. Whether you want to discuss or teach kids about these things in school or not, these things are happening. These things exist, and so to acknowledge and to learn about them is really important. Hopefully, this series is a start to help with that.
